In October 2013, VeriFacts Automotive, LLC announced the finalists for both of the VeriFacts Automotive ACE Awards (Achievement in Collision Repair Excellence). Each year VeriFacts Automotive recognizes one collision repair center and one repair technician having participated in the Verified Quality (VQ) Program for a minimum of six months, and having consistently delivered superior output repair quality, which is verified through monthly on-site quality assessment reviews during the repair process. Introduced in 2004, VeriFacts Automotive has presented one of the ACE Awards – The March Taylor Award – to an exceptional repair technician each year.
Anderson Behel, Santa Clara’s premier body shop, is proud to announce that our very own Gerardo Lopez was named as a nominee for the 2013 March Taylor Technician ACE Award for Achievement in Collision Repair Excellence. Although he did not capture the award (he was also a finalist in 2012), we’re very proud of Gerardo’s exemplary work. He’s a true craftsman and 100% dedicated to doing a quality job on every repair at Anderson Behel in Santa Clara, CA.
“As vehicle designs advance, VeriFacts wants to acknowledge the commitment and verified repair performance of technicians committed to producing exceptional quality,” Doug Irish, President of VeriFacts Automotive said. “To that end, VeriFacts Automotive is adding an award category to The March Taylor Award for a technician in each of the following two categories: Advanced Material Repair and Traditional Material Repair.” According to Irish, Advanced Material Repair would be materials such as Aluminum and Composite materials while Traditional Material Repair would include HSS, HSLA, plastic, etc.
“The selection process was very difficult this year because of the tremendous output quality of the technicians' work which we see every day during our visits at each shop. The level of skill and expertise exhibited by this year's group of finalists is amazing,” stated Audie Swedeen, Director of Field Technical Operations and Training for VeriFacts Automotive.
VeriFacts Automotive has completed 2.33 million coaching observations, inspected 93,334 vehicles and coached 10,826 technicians since 2006.
Hats off and much respect to Gerardo Lopez, a great technician, and amazing employee and one of the best of the best!
